Yes, really. Mythmaker VI is the final "philosophy" conversation of the novel. And yes, I spend a lot of it talking about Socratic Form.

Cause I'm a dick.

Well, at least it's not too much longer till all of this crap makes sense, right? Just two chapters to go. Wooo!

You all should get an award for sticking around this long. *

Every now and then, I put a little substance into AKOD. Something to try and help round out it's unusual plot. Put a little cake under the frosting, so to speak.

Today is one of those days.

Hopefully, you'll read Sloth III (which is essentially just one, long conversation) and see Words in a slightly different light. Hopefully, it'll put some new thoughts into your head as to where this whole epic is going. Hopefully, it'll make you think a little more is going on in the story other than random rape and death.

But don't worry. Rape and death will be back in Sloth V.

So, I figured after all that's happened with AKOD, it was time to give it a little depth. Make it a little more than just people doing wacky things on wacky drugs. And so, Acceleration delivers with a little in depth philosophy.

Of course, that's not to say I've gone all high brow now. Our narrator still drinks to excess while his best friend jokingly tries to make a move on his girlfriend. After referring to the Chinese delivery guy as the messiah.

So there's still that.
